Lisa Raye McRoy was crowned as a Queen Mother in Ghana on September 23, 2019.
Raye is the former First Lady of Turks and Caicos from a previous marriage.
She is now a queen mother in the Central Region in Ghana.
The ceremony at the Cicada Restaurant & Club in downtown Los Angeles, the day before her birthday.
Lisa was handpicked by the Paramount Chief of Agona Kwanyako, the chiefs, and the entire Kyidom Traditional Divisional Councils.
McCoy will reign over Ghana’s Central Region.
“This honor is beyond my wildest imagination,” she said. “I plan to do all that I can by using my platform to bring positive attention to this region.
Her contributions and humanitarian efforts over the years in Ghana earned her the royal prestige.
