Black Sherif’s ‘Soja’ will ignite your spirit to keep fighting on

Music is supposed to be reasonable, it must have a clear message, and it must educate as well as entertain. Music should give you a breath of fresh air, motivation, and strength to keep on pushing despite life struggles and setbacks.

And Ghanaian musician Black Sherif is giving people the chill they need.

The young talent has released a new intriguing single, titled “Soja” and people are raving about it.

It is the official solo follow-up to his popular hit ‘Kwaku the Traveller’. This will be his fourth studio recording song in 2022.

The song which was released today Thursday, September  2022, quickly rose to the top of the charts on all digital streaming platforms and was co-signed by a lot of industry greats such as DJ Khaled and Timberland.

In a tweet on Tuesday, September 2022, Black Sherif, said the song “was penned down in a bloody war.”

The song speaks to his personal struggles with anxiety and inferiority complex which is relatable to many.

The cover art of the song features a metal helmet similar to the German Stahlhelm worn during World War II in the middle of a black background.

The musician recently received the enviable Golden Club plaque from Boomplay.

This was after he became the first Ghanaian artist to reach the 100 million streams milestone on the streaming platform.
The enormous success of Black Sherif has been predicted ever since the release of his “First Sermon” freestyle in May 2021  This viral smash positioned him as a voice of the Youth, and two months later, “Second Sermon,” which established him as a force to be reckoned with.

During the maiden edition of the Ghana Music 2021 Awards, Black Sherif, who had been making waves in the local and international music space, bagged three awards on the night, including Hip-hop Artiste of the Year, Hiplife Song of the Year, and New Artiste of the Year.

He also took home four coveted awards at the 5th edition of the 3Music Awards which took place at the Grand arena of the Ghana international conference.

In June 2022, Boomplay announced Black Sherif as the first Ghanaian artist to surpass 100 Million streams on their platform.
