However, a lot of communities are still in the dark, which is why 25-year-old Sebastian Sanders, also known as “The Youth Principal,” a well-known community impact speaker, and the founder of Sanders Hand International, a nonprofit, is utilizing his expertise to make a difference around the world.
Sebastian is a multifaceted Social Entrepreneur that thrives on bringing about change in our society and economy.
With over 3,000 students and parents served from Texas to Oklahoma, Sanders Hand International has been transforming the lives of countless families and students around the globe.
In a bid to bridge the technological skills advancement gap in Ghana, Sebastian and his team set up an E-Learning Center to provide training for students on education and digital business programs.
Sebastian is the first African American NGO Executive Director, to establish education & literacy programs in another country with the founding of Sanders Hand Ghana.
In an Exclusive Interview with the Ghanaian American Journal (GAJ), “The Youth Principal” shed further light on the need for digital skills.
GAJ: How was the Nonprofit Organisation, Sanders Hand Ghana birthed and what inspired its establishment?
The Sanders Hand Ghana was birthed in 2021 after a zoom meeting with Ghana Executive leadership Emmanuel, who oversees the program.
Initially, it was a partnership for the Annual Sanders Spelling Bee in Ghana, Africa but after the event and our winners were selected to meet with our United States team we noticed the technology gap.
Our Ghana team visited each of the winners’ homes personally and it inspired us to close the gap by establishing a center of technology for students to have access to and learn software skills.
GAJ: What is your opinion about the education system in Ghana?
“The education in Ghana is similar to the United States, where you have some intelligent students who will change the world.
The only issue is the lack of representation from leadership for students to feel inspired and cared for as well as the technology gap in different communities that can cause students to fall behind due to a lack of resources.”
GAJ: What are the plans for the organization (Sanders Hand Ghana)?
“The future of education is rooted in technology and financial literacy. We plan to create a study abroad project for leaders across the world to visit Ghana, Africa, and work with our learning centers volunteering, teaching courses & experiencing Ghana” He revealed.
He also advised young people to expose themselves to “all opportunities that will tap into their innovative self while defining their personal success.”
In addition to Sanders Hand, Sebastian is the founder & chairman of SJS Enterprises, serving as the cultivation of community & business.
Sebastian is a host & creator of the Money Mondays network show an edutainment division of SJS Enterprises With his expertise in nonprofit consulting & nonprofit coaching.
He is also a published bestselling author of the “Art of Giving” series with the first release in 2020, One Nonprofit Can Change The World, the complete business inspirational guide to founding your nonprofit organization.
Born in Houston Texas, Sebastian is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor’s degree in business administration management.
In his professional career, he has worked for Pepsico as a Sales District Manager & Frito Lay as a Supply Chain Network Manager for one of the largest production plants in the country.
The business genius and his team hope to establish more financial learning centers throughout Ghana to help provide jobs in local communities.

About Juanita Sanders E-Learning Center ( Ghana)
The Juanita Sanders E-Learning Center is located at Kasoa, Off Nyanyano Road, and is open from Monday to Friday and on Weekends (Saturdays).
The duration of the courses is for 3 months and a certificate will be awarded after training.
