Uprising female artist Elizha is confident about pushing Afrobeats genre to the next level

With artists creating captivating music over the years, the Afrobeats genre has experienced some dynamism. Now, female songstress Elizha is here with her musical ability to take the genre to new heights.

Based in Columbus, Ohio, Elizha was born Michelle-Elizabeth Okyere to Ghanaian parents in Kumasi, Ghana with roots from Tepa, Kwahu, and Berekum.

After completing her eighth grade in Chicago, she moved back to Ghana to complete her secondary and tertiary education at Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High and the University of Ghana, where she studied music. During her middle school years, she participated in talent shows and numerous entertainment events.

Elizha, who has stunning, enchanting vocals and swirling synths has been tipped to rise to global stardom given her unique musical talent.

“Doing music the African way is at the core of my goal as a musician, which is why I am poised to do unique sounds in Afrobeat and Afro-soul music,” she said.

Elizha released her debut single, “RoadTown,” in May 2021, and many more hit singles, including “Lijeje” and “Police.”

She is set to release her upcoming single, “Bad Love,” on April 6, 2023, which she describes as a mixture of Afro-soul and Afrobeats accompanied by a melodic melody of African rhythm.

“This is one of my favourite songs, and I am hopeful that it will be a hit considering how well it has been curated,” she said.
