Popular Nigerian musician, Mr. Eazi has made a significant impact in the lives of students in Navrongo, Ghana, by funding the education of 1000 students at the C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS).
Mr. Eazi through the scheme has provided 282 students with scholarships to cover either partial or full tuition fees.
The CKT-UTAS management through its Registrar, Dr. V. A. Ankamah-Lomotey, in a letter also expressed its gratitude to the ‘Leg Over’ singer, stating that his contribution will go a long way in ensuring that more students can access quality education in Navrongo.
This generous act has been met with an outpouring of gratitude from the students, many of whom have expressed their appreciation on social media.
Mr. Eazi’s philanthropic work in education is not new. In 2020, he launched the emPawa Africa 30 initiative, which provided grants to 30 African artists to help them grow their careers.
His contribution will undoubtedly change the lives of many students in Navrongo, and we can only hope that more individuals will follow his lead and give back to their communities in meaningful ways.
