The Over the Counter Medicine Sellers Association (OTCMSA) has donated relief items to aid victims of recent flooding from the Akosombo Dam spillage in Ghana’s Volta Region.
OTCMSA’s national executives presented 400 packs of bottled water and an undisclosed amount of money to Volta Regional Minister Archibald Letsa for distribution to affected victims.
OTCMSA’s President Hassan Carboo expressed empathy for the victims and said the donation aims to address immediate concerns. He indicated the association will return with further support, showing their commitment to helping victims through this crisis.
Minister Letsa thanked OTCMSA for the kind and timely contribution. He recognized the importance of such community-driven initiatives in substantially impacting victims’ lives.
Letsa encouraged other groups and individuals to follow OTCMSA’s example of generosity. He said that together as a community they can work towards recovery and restoration.
