Belinda Baidoo, an international fashion model and Creative Director of BB Boutique, hosted a successful Sip and Wine shopping event at her Osu-based boutique in Accra on 2 January2025.
The boutique became a cultural hub, showcasing locally made fashion items such as clothing, footwear, and cosmetics. Shoppers, including locals and members of the diaspora, eagerly explored a diverse range of made-in-Ghana products.
Highlights included skirts, dresses, kimonos, and cosmetics like body creams and nourishing oils. The event celebrated Ghanaian creativity, emphasising the country’s growing prominence in the global fashion industry.
Also, as Patrons sipped on drinks while enjoying an intimate shopping experience, they were treated to good music, networking opportunities, creating a relaxed and engaging atmosphere for patrons to mingle and share ideas.
According to the event host, Belinda Baidoo, “This event is not only about showcasing the beauty and quality of made-in-Ghana wear and other beauty products to a wider audience but it is also about empowering women in the fashion industry.
“As someone who has worked in the global fashion scene, I believe it is essential to use my platform to uplift others and celebrate the incredible talent we have here in Ghana,” she said.
The event provided an opportunity to reconnect with cultural heritage while supporting sustainable and ethical fashion practices.
