GIPC appoints Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong as new CEO

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has announced the appointment of Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Her appointment, approved by President John Dramani Mahama, is expected to bolster Ghana’s investment landscape.

Dr. Makafui brings extensive expertise in business development, healthcare, and strategic partnerships. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ghana, Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from University College London, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

She has also received several accolades, including the ‘Most Outstanding Female in Pharmaceuticals in Ghana’ and recognition as one of the ‘50 Most Influential Women in Ghana’ by the Business Executive Magazine.

Expressing her commitment to her new role, Dr. Brempong affirmed her dedication to advancing the President’s vision of economic growth by attracting local and international investments to strengthen Ghana’s position as a top investment destination in Africa.

GIPC drives Ghana’s investment agenda, promoting opportunities in manufacturing, agro-processing, tourism, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, real estate, and mining sectors.
