Accra, Ghana: The Black History Summit and Expo, hosted at the Georgia International Convention Center, emerged as a powerful engine for global dialogue and collaboration during the weeklong Black History Festival.
The landmark event served as the intellectual and strategic cornerstone of the celebration, uniting high-level voices from government, business, academia, and civil society under one roof.

The Summit offered a robust platform for transformative conversations, featuring bold ideas and policy exchanges aimed at strengthening ties between Africa, the Caribbean, and the broader diaspora. With a forward-looking agenda, discussions focused on critical areas vital to global Black advancement:

- Diaspora Engagement & Economic Empowerment – Fostering stronger African-Caribbean economic linkages to promote inclusive prosperity.
- Cultural Diplomacy – Elevating heritage, arts, and tourism as vital tools of soft power and global influence.
- Trade & Investment – Identifying emerging markets and catalyzing bilateral opportunities between Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States.
- Sustainable Development & Innovation – Emphasizing climate-smart infrastructure, innovation, and entrepreneurial growth.
- Dual Citizenship & Repatriation – Exploring practical pathways for diaspora return, residency, and citizenship integration.

The Summit drew a distinguished slate of speakers from across the globe—including the United States, Ghana, Panama, Jamaica, Nigeria, Liberia, and South Africa—who delivered visionary insights and called for actionable, long-term strategies.

As one of the signature events of the Black History Festival, the Summit embodied this year’s theme: “Bridging Continents, Celebrating Legacies, and Promoting Trade.”
More than a ceremonial gathering, it laid tangible groundwork for policy reform, economic initiatives, and community-driven solutions that aim to uplift and unify the global African diaspora.

With strong leadership from BIDEC INC and its partners, organizers are now focused on scaling these conversations into real-world impact sustaining the momentum of this historic gathering well beyond the month of celebration.
