The 21-year-old content creator, who boasts over 50 million subscribers on YouTube, received the name during a traditional ceremony with the chief of Akropong in the Eastern Region on Saturday. The name translates to “a warrior born on Friday,” recognizing Speed’s enthusiastic embrace of Ghanaian culture.
The visit to Akropong marks a highlight of Speed’s highly publicized African tour, which has already included stops in Nigeria, Benin, and the Ivory Coast. His arrival in Ghana has caused excitement, with thousands of fans flooding the streets to catch a glimpse of the influencer.
The YouTube star is known for his high-energy streaming style and passionate football fandom. Speed is expected to stay in Ghana for three days.
