South African singer Tyla has won the Best African Music Performance award at the 2026 Grammy Awards, beating a line-up of leading African artists.
The award was secured with her hit single “Push 2 Start”, marking her second win in this category since its introduction in 2024, when she triumphed with “Water.”
Among the other nominees were Nigerian stars Burna Boy for Love, Davido featuring Omah Lay with With You, and Ayra Starr featuring Wizkid for Gimme Dat.
Ugandan artist Eddy Kenzo and Iranian musician Mehran Matin were also nominated for Hope & Love.
