The Government of Ghana has officially presented diplomatic passports to five exceptional Ghanaians in recognition of their outstanding contributions to promoting Ghana on the global stage.
In a brief ceremony, the Minister described the recipients as “extraordinary patriots” who have raised Ghana’s image globally through their work in arts, media, entrepreneurship, culture, and advocacy.
Minister of Foreign Affairs in Ghana, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa shared on his Facebook page photos from the brief ceremony where the passports were presented to the honourees.
“This honour is well deserved. Ghana is exceptionally proud of you all. Keep the Black Star shining, for God and country,” Mr. Ablakwa stated.
The recipients of this prestigious honour are:
Wode Maya – Renowned YouTube personality and digital content creator who has dedicated his platform to positively showcasing Africa, especially Ghana, to the world.

Lady Dentaa Amoateng MBE – Media entrepreneur and founder of the GUBA Awards, widely recognized for her role in connecting African diasporans and championing African excellence internationally.

Rocky Dawuni – GRAMMY-nominated Afro Roots musician and UN Goodwill Ambassador, celebrated for using his music to advocate for social justice, peace, and environmental sustainability.

Anita Erskine – Award-winning broadcaster and communications professional known for her commitment to empowering African women and amplifying African narratives through media.

Ibrahim Mahama – Acclaimed visual artist whose large-scale installations have earned him international acclaim for addressing issues of history, labor, and identity in Ghana and beyond.

The gesture forms part of a broader initiative to recognize and empower Ghanaians making significant global impact in their respective fields, serving as cultural and developmental ambassadors.
