Ghana Cinema Week begins on 23 December

The National Film Authority (NFA) in collaboration with Afrocinemaplus will roll out the maiden edition of Ghana Cinema Week from 23rd to 29th December 2022.

The initiative seeks to showcase the amazing works of Ghanaian filmmakers and also contribute to enhancing and boosting the cinema-going culture in Ghana.

According to the NFA, the event will be used to exhibit selected Ghanaian films at selected locations across the country within the given period.

NFA partners Pixel Ray Studios to build ultra-modern film studios

Meanwhile, the National Film Authority (NFA) has successfully concluded discussions with Pixel Ray Studios, a multimedia production company based in the US to build over 200-acre full-service audio-visual studios together with other amenities in Ghana.

The studios will offer state-of-the-art production and post-production services to local Ghanaian, African and international film and content producers for the development of scripted and unscripted content, films, TV series, commercials, OTT content, podcasts, music videos, etc.

The Chief Executive Officer of NFA, Juliet Yaa Asantewaa Asante, said the studios will also serve as entertainment and tourist attractions for local and international tourists through activities such as set visits and other fun engagements.
