King Of Tɛma, the debut narrative feature film from Anibok Studios, has received 10 nominations at the Ghana Movie Awards, one of Ghana’s highest honours for film and television.
The nominations span major categories including Best Picture, Achievement in Directing, Achievement in Editing and Achievement in Writing.
Writer, director and producer Kobina de Graft-Johnson has been personally recognised in four categories.
The film was co-produced by Mark Cofie of Jr Organized Khaoz, whose collaboration helped bring the production to completion and to audiences across North America.
“We made this film from inside the community, about a city that has never been on screen before. To be recognised by the Ghana Movie Awards across 10 categories is a validation of every person who poured themselves into this story. This belongs to Tɛma,” said Kobina de Graft-Johnson, director and producer of King Of Tɛma.
