Ghana’s new High Commissioner to Canada, Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, has officially started her duties by presenting her Letter of Credence to the Canadian government.

This important letter is like an official introduction that gives her the authority to represent Ghana in Canada. She also brought a letter from the previous High Commissioner, officially ending their term.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 25, 2025, at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. The letters were received by Justice Suzanne Côté, on behalf of Mary Simon, Canada’s Governor General.

This event officially marks the start of her work as Ghana’s representative in Canada. It also reflects Ghana’s commitment to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
