PUMA unveils Ghana’s Black Stars jerseys ahead of 2026 World Cup

Sportswear manufacturer PUMA has unveiled new official jerseys for Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The kits were revealed at a launch event in Domino Square in Brooklyn, New York City where football fans, celebrities and former players gathered to celebrate the design inspired by Ghanaian culture.

The home jersey is predominantly white and features geometric patterns influenced by traditional Ghanaian art. It also incorporates the country’s national colours, red, yellow and green while the iconic black star is placed prominently on the front.

The away jersey comes in a bold gold colour, a nod to Ghana’s historical identity as the Gold Coast. It also includes patterned detailing inspired by indigenous design and is complemented by green panels and a red collar reflecting the national flag.

According to PUMA, the jerseys combine cultural storytelling with performance technology, designed to offer comfort, breathability and lightweight movement for players.

The unveiling formed part of a street-style football and cultural event in Brooklyn, which included music performances, fan engagement activities and a 4-on-4 football tournament.

Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan and musician Black Sherif were among personalities present at the launch.

The Black Stars are preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will face Panama, England and Croatia in the group stage of the tournament.
